New features and changes in askora.
-
Bring your exported entries back
Put a JSON file exported from Askora into Import, and your entries come back as they were.
-
Look around without signing in, and bigger buttons
The first screen now lets you try Askora without signing in. Text on phones is never smaller than 13px, and buttons are easier to tap.
-
Ask your first entry right away, and a faster app
After you save your first entries, you can ask about them right away. Apple Notes can come in as files, and the app opens faster.
-
Find magnifier, pasting photos, and deletes that take effect at once
The phone top bar has a magnifier that opens Find. You can paste a copied picture while writing, and deleting an entry now erases it from the server at once.
-
Threads-style screens and Home swipes
The iPhone app 1.0.21 changes the bottom bar and the writing screen. On Home, a swipe to the right opens the library menu, and a swipe to the left opens quick recall from any screen.
-
Set an alarm on an entry
Set an alarm on an entry to be reminded on a date and time you choose. Repeat once, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, and pick how long before to be reminded.
-
The askora iPhone app
askora is now an iPhone app. Voice entry, photos and Face ID for the Vault work in the app.
-
One screen for entries, and the Night Drawer is now the Vault
On a computer you can view, write and edit entries on one screen. The menu names are now Write, Entries and Vault.
-
Read and edit entries in place in the Library
On a wide screen the Library shows a list on the left and the full text of the chosen entry on the right. Edit, underline and listen right there.
-
Paste a link and get a summary saved, and recall reads it too
Paste a link in the write screen and askora reads the page, summarizes it and saves it. Recall now reads the AI summary of pages you saved.
-
Sending feedback is easier now
Send feedback from the home screen or right under a recall answer. Pick bug, suggestion or question.
-
Notes you move in can be sorted into categories
When you move notes in from another app, choose whether to sort them into categories automatically or keep them all Unsorted. Each note lands on its own date.
-
The "Clip" Chrome extension and this week's update
Clip a page in Chrome while you read, and ask for it later. Also new: photos in entries, moving in from other apps, and a quicker recall.
-
Moving in from other apps now lives in My page
The place to move your notes from other apps is now its own section in My page, with export steps for each app. Library search is fixed too.
-
Underlines and a simpler entry view
Underline the sentences you want to keep and find them together. The entry view now keeps every button in one top bar, and you can listen from any paragraph.
-
Listen to your entries with Read Aloud
Hear your entries with a free device voice or an AI voice suited to the entry's language. AI voice includes 3 trial reads or 60 minutes per subscription month.
-
September update — writing by voice, AI replies, links and YouTube
Write entries by voice, get an AI reply under an entry, and watch linked YouTube videos inside your entries.
