Read and edit entries in place in the Library

On a wide screen (a computer), the Library in the askora app is split in two. The list is on the left and the text of the chosen entry is on the right.

Reading

  • The full text: the entry is shown on the right exactly as you wrote it. It is not summarised or cut.
  • Finding: search and choose a category on the left and the list changes. Choose another entry and the text on the right changes at once.
  • Photos and video: the photos on an entry, the source of a saved page and a YouTube video appear above the text.

Doing things in place

  • Edit: the text on the right turns into the editor. When you save, you are back in the same place.
  • Listen: read the entry aloud.
  • Underline: drag over text to underline it, word for word. The underline is a bright highlighter yellow.
  • Delete: it is in the ⋯ menu and asks once more.
  • Use Write at the top for a new entry, and the microphone button to write by voice.

Photos inside the text

Write `[photo 2]` alone on a line and the entry's second photo appears there, large. The photo row above the text then shows only the remaining photos.

Moments in a YouTube video

In an entry that saves a YouTube video, a time such as `1:14` becomes a button. Press it and the video above plays from that moment.

The Library on narrow screens and phones is unchanged. Writing and editing need the trial or a subscription. Reading and deleting still work after the trial ends.
